A veteran, awarding newsman and TV host with 30 plus years of experience, Brad joined Washington Federal Bank in 2016 as Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Relations. He brings his expertise in media and branding to further promote the WAFD Bank brand both internally as well as throughout our eight state footprint. Although Brad has left the full-time news anchor desk he still delivers his longtime franchise report “Goode 4 Business” on the KOMO 4 Morning News in Seattle as well as on KOMO News Radio. The segment highlights Northwest business and is now sponsored by Washington Federal Bank. Brad also hosts the bank’s internal news report “What’s up at WAFD” every week that goes out to all employees.
Before joining Washington Federal Bank, Brad also anchored and reported the news in Seattle for 16 years with both KOMO TV (ABC) and KING TV (NBC). His national broadcast career includes anchoring and reporting financial news with CNBC in both New York and Los Angeles. Goode also hosted the pop culture/entertainment magazine show EXTRA in Los Angeles and anchored a fast-paced nightly sports show on FOX SPORTS.
His early broadcast career also took him to anchor and reporting positions at TV stations in Los Angeles, CA, Salt Lake City, Utah, Minneapolis, MN, and Lansing, MI.
In the past 15 years Goode has developed a passion for fundraising and is a highly sought after charity benefit auctioneer and consultant. He has raised tens of millions of dollars for great organizations around the West Coast. Goode also produces video content and is called upon often as a speaker and event host through his company Goode News Media.
Brad is also a member of the Washington Federal Foundation Board which awards grants to non-profits in the eight states the bank serves. He also serves on the board of Washington Women in Need, a non-profit that grants college tuition to low income women. He’s also a former board member of the Western Washington chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. He is an obsessed golfer, avid skier, wake surfer and mountain biker. Brad enjoys the great outdoors with his wife and daughter whenever possible. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and a proud Spartan.
