Jane has had a dynamic career as a producer, strategist and marketer in both the corporate and non-profit business worlds.

Jane opened her own consulting firm, JZworks, in 2009. Clients include the University of Washington, Russell Investments, Seattle Center, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, EMP Museum, Microsoft, Challenge Seattle, the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, City of Renton, City of Seattle, and the Washington State Auto Dealers.

Prior to opening her consulting practice, Jane was First Vice President of Experiential Marketing at Washington Mutual from 2003-2008. She had responsibility for all sponsorships and promotions, and for in-language Hispanic marketing. Jane’s team managed over 300 events per year, including national sponsorship and branch openings around the country. She negotiated the first-ever naming rights deals for the bank, with two WaMu Theaters in Seattle and at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

As Co-President of One Reel, a Seattle-based event company, Jane produced Bumbershoot, the Seattle Arts Festival; 1990 Goodwill Arts Festival; Teatro ZinZanni in Seattle and San Francisco; AT&T Summer Nights at the Pier, the WaMu Family Fourth Fireworks and the WOMAD (world of music arts & dance) Festival.

She has served on multiple boards and commissions, including Seattle Rep, Seattle Colleges District Foundation, New City Theater, National Advisory Board of Dancing in the Streets (NYC), Seattle Public Library Foundation Board, Municipal League of King County, The Mayor’s Committee on Music, The Mayor’s Committee on Special Events, Citizen’s Advisory Committee on the Aquarium and the Marketing Committee of Capital Hill Housing Improvement Project and the Board of Plymouth Housing.
