Lacey Mencl joined the National Women’s Soccer League in May of 2021 and currently serves as NWSL Legal Counsel. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in Sports Administration and her Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. Mencl has a substantial history in the sports industry where she has worked for organizations such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Mid-American Conference and Division I college athletics programs. She currently handles a variety of legal facets at the NWSL, ranging from immigration and competition matters to league governance affairs.
