Monica Michel is a Cause Marketing and Brand Partnerships Marketing Manager at The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature thrive. In her role, Monica is responsible for cultivating and stewarding corporate relationships focused on reaching younger, more diverse audiences. Monica oversees a diverse portfolio of partners and develops and executes creative direction and messaging, marketing and promotion plans, related activations, and ensures that each program, its creative and messaging reflect the positioning, platform, and voice of the TNC brand, while also meeting the goals and expectations of external partners.
Prior to TNC, Monica was an integral part of the Partnership Marketing team at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance where she focused primarily on licensing programs and activations for nearly seven years.
Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from San Diego State University and a Master of Business Administration from The Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University where she concentrated her studies in marketing and communications.
Mom to 20-month-old daughter Annalise, and 4-year-old daughter Annika, Monica enjoys her free time exploring the outdoors and the beauty of San Diego, CA where she currently calls home.
